I hate talking about myself. I'm really not a very interesting person. I'm horribly shy and probably have some kind of social anxeity disorder. That's my diagnosis, anyway. It would certainly explain a lot.
I've always had a wild imagination, for as long as I can remember. I had to; I was too shy to make friends. I started writing stories when I was in elementary school, about ten years old, I believe. I still have some of them.
I graduated from high school in 1999 and went to work for the school district a couple of years later. I'm an Educational Assistant Substitute, which is great--I didn't need years of college and I get to work with children. Plus, the substitute part is nice. I don't have to work unless I want to.
I like animals, almost obsessively so. I had all kinds of pets growing up: turtles, lizards, frogs, snakes, fish, birds, rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits, cats and dogs. We would also rescue orphaned animals on occasion. I remember a couple of possums and some starlings that were able to rehabilitate and release into the wild. It gave me a great appreciation for wildlife.
Right now, I have three tattoos, all of them tribal in design. A turtle on my ankle, a hammerhead shark over my heart, and a swallow on my shoulder. The turtle I thought was cute, but the shark and swallow represent two aspects of my personality. I need to get a frog, probably on the side of my leg, to represent my third aspect.
That's really about all there is to say. If anyone has questions about me, I can't swear that I'll answer, but I might, and if I get some really interesting questions, I might post them and the answers on here for everyone to enjoy.
Until then,
Katica
